1. Only applications by fully paid up Members or Associate Members of IASI will be considered. Membership application forms are available from the Secretary and on the IASI website.
2. Applications will only be accepted from persons who will be 17 years of age or older by the commencement date of the course. Applications made by minors will not be considered without IASI receiving the parent's or guardian's written consent.
3. Application forms must be completed in full.
4. Applications are not confirmed until a non-refundable deposit of €200 for snow based or the full course fee for dry slope based courses is received by IASI. Refunds of deposits are at the sole discretion of the Board. The full course fee for snow courses must be paid within six weeks of the your application date for that specific course.
5. Applications can only be made using the IASI website online application system. Printed or written application forms will not be accepted.
6. IASI will publish a list of courses and course dates, which will be available on the IASI website, this will serve as Course Notification. Course Notices may also be sent by e-mail, published in the IASI Newsletter or posted at the Ski Club of Ireland.
7. The registration date will be listed on the IASI website. An application cannot be made for a course before the registration date. Registration is deemed only as an indication of intent and does not guarantee inclusion or delivery of a particular course.
8. In the case of Level 1 courses, places will be offered first to applicants who are participating in the Pre-Selection course (for Level 1 Training) or in the Assessment Preparation course (for Level 1 Assessment) and then to applicants who are participating in the Training or Assessment courses only.
9. Where a course becomes fully subscribed, applicants may apply to be placed on a waiting list by e-mailing the Course Coordinator. Places will be allocated first to applicants who but for completing or passing the Course or Module applied for would be entitled to Qualification at the next IASI Level and thereafter in order of receipt by the Course Coordinator. Applicants on a waiting list are subject to all other terms and conditions as set down within this document or as notified by the Course Coordinator. In all incidents the course fee must be paid in full before the commencement of the course.
10. The Board reserves the right to withdraw Course Notices and cancel scheduled courses at any time due to insufficient demand or due to other unforeseen events.
11. The entire course fee becomes non-refundable when the course is confirmed (this shall be no later than 8 weeks prior to the course commencement) Should a course be changed or cancelled by IASI, only the course fee paid to date may be refunded.
12. If an applicant withdraws from a course that they have booked and their place on the course cannot be filled, the entire course fee is non-refundable. In the event that their place can be filled by another applicant, the course fee paid to date may be refunded less a €50 administration fee.
13. These terms and conditions are subject to change without notice.
14. By booking any IASI course, the applicant is confirming that they hold the appropriate qualification, have completed the required teaching hours and have met any other requirements determined necessary by the Board.
15. Applicants confirm by their checking the "I agree to the IASI booking terms & conditions" checkbox on the application form that they have understood and accepted these booking terms and conditions, that they hold current valid insurance appropriate to the course or module applied for and that they have informed their next-of-kin of the location and dates of the course or module applied for.
